Brusha. Brusha. Brusha.
The Art of Dry Brushing:
Right now my apartment is bursting with bags and bags of products sent to my by various publicists and companies (friends who come over have been happily leaving with some goodies). And I LOVE it. I love opening each new jar and compact to a bright, shiny promise of helping me and my clients to look and feel better. There are potions and lotions at every price point each targeting some new ailment.
For me, my stubborn problem is dry skin. As part of investigating and researching some natural tips for healthy living, I came across Dry Brushing. Here’s the deal: Your skin is the largest organ you have and it accounts for a quarter of your body’s detoxification each day. It’s the last organ to receive nutrients but the first to show signs of imbalance. Cue the dry, dull blemished, irritated, itchy skin. If your don’t rid the skin of the toxins coming out of each pore then it has no where to go but back inside your body. Ick.
There are a slew of exfoliants to help guide this process, but Dry Brushing is one of the most effective and it’s CHEAP. This simple process helps remove dead skin and increase blood flow which in turn tightens skin and get ready for it… can LESSEN THE APPEARANCE OF CELLULITE! Yep! So unplug those pores and your skin and body will thank you.
